UK Supplier shipping to Europe

Modified on: Tue, 5 Apr, 2022 at 10:24 AM

Due to the implications of Brexit and additional costs and processes for UK suppliers when shipping to the European Union, Fy has currently paused shipping from the UK to the EU.

Please note that the major reason for this decision is the listed price on our website, as we can currently only list one compiled single price, which is not split detailing costs (e.g. for product(s), shipping, etc.).

If we increased the price for shipping products from the UK to the EU, customers located in the UK would see the increased price as well, possibly detracting them from your sales. As the majority of orders on Fy are placed by UK customers, the disadvantage currently only has minor effects on your sales.

However, our engineering and logistics teams are currently working hard on implementing and releasing the following options:

  • Creating shipping price options by location(s)

  • Implementing cross-border shipping solutions from the UK to the EU.

The solutions are currently designed and tested to be implemented in due course (2022). We will inform you about upcoming updates and releases.

In case of interest (once released), please note that you will need

The ability to state the right commodity codes (type of goods) for exports from the UK / into the EU, based on which duty and tax rates are defined. You can determine these for your products by using the government’s ‘Trade Tariff Tool’.
